Kinetic Typography / Motion Graphics

For this video piece, I created a fully illustrated animation set to Cheek to Cheek by Louis Armstrong and Ella Fitzgerald. Every frame was hand-drawn, with a cohesive and playful color palette that reflects the joy, love, and innocence in the song. I chose a script-style font to match the fluid, whimsical style of the illustrations, aiming to create a visual world that felt youthful, a little messy, and full of heart.

This project was about breaking away from clean, minimalist design and leaning into something more expressive and imperfect, like a love letter scribbled in a sketchbook. While the visuals are playful and childlike in tone, they’re carefully composed to keep the viewer engaged and emotionally connected throughout. It’s a tribute to the kind of love that feels light, honest, and beautifully human.
